Jaclyn Fawk named the new principal at Glengary Elementary

The Walled Lake Consolidated Schools’ Board of Education appointed Jaclyn Fawk the new principal at Glengary Elementary during its June 18, 2026 meeting. Her first day will be Monday, August 3.
“Glengary has a longstanding reputation for academic excellence, strong community engagement and a nurturing environment where students are supported and encouraged to thrive,” said Fawk. “I am grateful for the opportunity to join this wonderful school community and look forward to building upon the strong foundation already in place.”
Fawk has more than a decade of educational experience and comes from Ann Arbor Public Schools, where she most recently served as a literacy coach at Haisley Elementary. In that role, she supported teachers through data-driven instruction and professional learning. Prior to that, Fawk was a curriculum instructional specialist for the district, as well as spent five years as a lead teacher at Logan Elementary. She also holds a Master of Education in Educational Administration from Grand Canyon University and a Michigan School Administrator Certificate.
“My priority is to ensure a smooth transition while maintaining the positive momentum and high standards that have made Glengary such a special place,” said Fawk. “Your insights, feedback and perspectives are important to me, and I believe that open communication and collaboration are essential to creating the best possible experience for our students.”
"Jaclyn Fawk is an exceptional addition to the Walled Lake leadership team, and we are excited to welcome her to Glengary Elementary," said Dr. Michael Lonze, Superintendent of Schools. "She is a thoughtful leader who believes in the power of collaboration, brings a passion for teaching and learning, and has a proven ability to help both students and staff reach their full potential. I am confident Glengary has a bright future under her leadership."
“Mrs. Fawk has demonstrated a strong commitment to instructional excellence, staff development, literacy achievement, and student success,” said Ali Hamka, Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources. “Her collaborative leadership style, instructional expertise and dedication to fostering positive school cultures make her an excellent addition to the Walled Lake Consolidated Schools leadership team.”
