Abbie Kidder named executive manager of human resources
The Walled Lake Consolidated Schools’ Board of Education appointed Abbie Kidder the district’s new executive manager of human resources during the May 23, 2024 meeting.
“I am so thrilled to step into the role of executive manager of human resources,” said Kidder. “I am looking forward to using my leadership skills in a different capacity and collaborating with other members of the central office team to positively impact Walled Lake Consolidated Schools.”
Kidder has been with the district since 2018 serving as the principal at Loon Lake Elementary. She came to Loon Lake from Livonia Public Schools, where she was the assistance principal at Grant Upper Elementary for three years. Prior to that, she was an elementary school teacher in Livonia Public Schools for 11 years and also taught two years of 7th grade science for Clarenceville Public Schools.
“It has been an honor to serve as the leader at Loon Lake Elementary, and I am incredibly grateful for the ongoing partnership and the relationships I have been able to build with the students, staff, and Loon Lake Community,” said Kidder. “Loon Lake is such a special place and that’s because we have all worked together to make it a great learning environment for all of our students.”
"Since 2018, Mrs. Kidder has shown exceptional leadership as the principal of Loon Lake Elementary,” said Dr. Michael Lonze, incoming Superintendent of Schools. “Her experience has equipped her with a diverse and rich educational background. I am confident dedication and expertise will continue to greatly benefit our students and staff."
