Thirty-seven elementary and middle school students from across Walled Lake Consolidated Schools were honored Wednesday night at Walled Lake Northern at the annual Girls Scouts High Award Recognition Ceremony.

A handful of Loons squared off with Mrs. Kidder in a silly string fight as a reward for being the top fundraisers in their class for Loon Lake Elementary's annual Fall Mum Sale.

Lakes Area Youth Assistance (LAYA) is getting set to host its 22nd annual Taste of the Lakes fundraiser on Tuesday, September 19th, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Edgewood Country Club.
